Character Counts

Ten out of ten times I will pick an individual with impeccable integrity with lacking credentials over impeccable credentials and lacking integrity.  Why?  Given the right amount of mentoring, training and guidance, almost any task can be learned.  What can't be taught is accountability, integrity, and a solid work ethic.  Education is one of the best return on investment strategies a company can fund for it's employees.  Demonstrate to your workforce you are willing to invest in their professional development and they will return that favor back in the form of loyalty, by becoming a more productive individual and a corporate role model for all to see and follow.  When you build loyalty into the culture, you must also hire it.  Look for employees that are committed to their employers for the long haul.  A company in-synch with its employees has a competitive advantage - which translates to high energy, high morale, higher quality of service, which ultimately results in high profits and client retention rates.  If you have energetic players, its because you have energetic coaches.
