Gain Perspective

Change places and find the fault of your ways.  Having previously owned a company for a number of years, selling it, then starting a new venture as a non-majority shareholder, I quickly realized what it felt like of not being able to make the final decision.  There is no better feedback than to realize the consequences of your actions - and find out what it’s like on being on the other side; you might not like what you see.  Being humbled is an experience we all need to encounter from time to time.  We need to be grounded, gain perspective and realize we are no better than the person we sit next to.  Nobody is sacred - we are all expendable.  In the final analysis we are a collection of individuals that must  work together as a Team, focused on a common vision that requires each individual to be synchronized on the execution for the end goal to be achieved.  So when your next personnel decision, keep a dual perspective in mind.  As the Golden Rule states "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
