A 2009 social networking study found that small businesses that blog get 55% more website visitors, 97% more inbound links and 434% more indexed pages. This study does not imply that blogging created this demand by itself. What it does imply that there exists a causal relationship whereby social networking tools can deliver a web presence for your products, services and brand more quickly and affordably than other types of advertising media like print, radio and television.
