Sr. Open Source Java Developer

NetSphere Strategies, a provider of SMART eCommerce solutions, has an opening for a full-time Sr. Open Source / Java developer with: (1) eight or more years of Java development experience; (2) Geronimo, JBoss or WebSphere application server development skills; (3) practitioner of SDLC methodology; (4) Eclipse or Rational-based tool experience; (5) Apache ServiceMix/Camel, SaaS and Web Services experience. All work is conducted at our headquarters in the western suburbs of Chicago - no travel.

This is a Great Opportunity for a senior developer to take the lead role in the commercial development of a suite of SaaS products for the Marketplace (Amazon, Buy, NewEgg, Sears) industry.

Developer Responsibilities: take a lead role for eCommerce and SaaS projects based on requirements and direction from Practice Manager. The candidate will interact with internal technical staff to build new software modules, make contributions to our Best Practices and SDLC methodology, and address technical on-demand and scheduled services with the administration or development team for existing clients. Fluent working knowledge of Java, JEE, EJB, JMS, JSP, SaaS, Web/XML Services
Experience with Apache solutions (ActiveMQ, Geronimo, ServiceMix/Camel) is a plus
Strong understanding of e-commerce, OO and Web concepts and principals
Full life-cycle development tools like CVS, Eclipse, IDE, RAD, RUP, UML
Strong experience with eCommerce webstores and JEE based application server deployments
